We are Hemby, a company boldly renewing home services for older people, children and, in fact, people of all ages who need help. We bring joy and security to our clients’ everyday lives, and our motto is: we help as we would our own mother or father. What is a helper? A helper is a person who provides everyday assistance, company and/or support with keeping a home clean for their own named client, such as an older person. A helper’s work may include assistance tasks, such as supporting the client in all kinds of everyday activities, including going outdoors, shopping, taking out the rubbish, or simply spending time together over coffee and conversation. In addition to assistants, we are also looking for cleaner-helpers whose duties include professional home cleaning and window washing. Over time, helpers and clients often even become friends through working together. Anyone over 18 can work as a helper, from students to pensioners. The most important things are an energetic approach to work and a genuine desire to help. What does a helper’s work require? A burning desire to help. Assistance work does not require any other special skills. It is enough that you want to spend time with people who need help and make their everyday lives better and easier through your actions. You can work according to your own situation, and working hours are also very flexible. We require cleaner-helpers to have experience in the cleaning field. What is best about being a helper? We asked our helpers, and this is what they said: - “Unhurried encounters with people and becoming friends with a senior.” - “Helping someone else and the feeling that the work is meaningful.” - “Being part of the Hemby community.” As a helper, you will have your own named client whom you help with everyday tasks and keep company. Flexible working hours that fit very well alongside, for example, studies or part-time work. Typical working hours are a few hours once or twice a week. Competitive hourly pay: €13.20–€15.98 per hour, plus supplements under the collective agreement and holiday compensation. Good opportunities for advancement: based on your experience and positive client feedback, you can progress to pro-helper or guru-helper and receive a pay increase!
