District Heating Installer

Nurmijärvi Electricity (Nurmijärven Sähkö) is an energy services company owned by the municipality of Nurmijärvi. Our district heating business includes heat sales across three district heating networks and nearby heat sources. We produce almost fossil-free heat, with 99% of district heating last year produced with wood-based fuels and biogas. Our strategy aims for gradually carbon-free district heating. We will increasingly utilize electric boilers in heat production. Our team comprises experts in electricity sales, grid, district heating, customer service, and finance, totaling about 40 people. We are now seeking a District Heating Installer to strengthen Nurmijärvi Sähkö’s district heating team. Do you want to do meaningful work as part of a small and tight professional team? As a district heating installer you will work with a variety of tasks related to district heating production and distribution. The job is independent, but you are not alone; onboarding happens with a colleague and responsibility is given progressively. You can be an experienced installer or a technical professional looking to specialise in the energy sector. Starter expertise is not required; attitude and willingness to learn are key. Experience in the energy sector or a professional qualification is nice to have but not mandatory. Key duties: - Operate, maintain, and service district heating networks - Operate and maintain heating plants - Troubleshooting and repair work - Participate in on-call duties after training Requirements: - At least a few years of work experience in a technical field (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or metalworking) - Energetic, self-driven, and responsible work approach - Willingness to learn new systems and complete energy sector training during work - Strong team spirit; much work is done collaboratively and helping others - Ability to work on-call duties about 7 weeks per year - Driving license B We offer: - Competitive hourly wage depending on experience and skills - Opportunity for performance-based pay - Broad benefits for health and well-being - Long-term employer and a stable work environment where employees can stay for decades Why join us?
