IT Helpdesk Specialist

This role is based in Helsinki within HUS Information Technology (Tietohallinto), supporting patient information systems (primarily Apotti) and other systems as needed. The candidate provides problem-solving for various incidents, guides health-care professionals in using patient information systems and related documentation, and handles support and service requests in collaboration with other support teams. Tasks include system maintenance and data-entry quality monitoring, with close cooperation across units and support teams. Typical working hours are 7.00–17.00 on weekdays, with a hybrid model allowing part-time on-site and part-time remote work. The successful candidate will be a team player who can work customer-oriented and independently, interpreting user needs. Requirements: experience using the Apotti patient information system; customer-oriented service attitude and good interpersonal skills; fluent Finnish in speaking and writing; ability to work as a professional in a planned, goal-oriented, and self-directed manner; ability to handle pressure and take on tasks beyond current expertise; excellent teamwork; eagerness to learn and develop practices; proficiency with Windows and common office applications. Desired: knowledge of HUS operations and specialized hospital services; experience with diagnostics services, especially laboratory services; documentation, quality, project and process work skills; commitment to common processes and quality work; motivation to advance HUS culture toward a more agile and efficient operation.
