About the role

We are looking for a childcare worker for the Swedish-speaking day care center Håkansböle in Vanda. You will join a knowledgeable, engaged and friendly team in a positive workplace culture that grows together. Our work is guided by the vision of Vanda city’s Swedish-language service area: We grow, play and learn together for a sustainable future. In the 2026–2027 academic year we will especially focus on language and communication, play, wellbeing. Our unit participates in the ProSmå project to strengthen children’s socio-emotional skills and promote positive interactions across the day care. A new day care, Silva, is planned to open in autumn 2027 to replace the current Håkansböle. The new center will provide modern facilities that support pedagogical work, cooperation and a sustainable daily life for children and staff. As a staff member you will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting journey and contribute to shaping the operation in the new day care with a focus on pedagogy, community and the child’s best. Job tasks: you provide children with security, care and support in daily routines; you are part of the pedagogical team and collaborate with multiprofessional actors; you actively contribute to developing an inclusive culture across the unit. Employment details: Qualifications: Childcare worker qualification under the Finnish Act on Early Childhood Education. In addition to the eligibility criteria we require good proficiency in Swedish. Conditions are determined by the municipal collective agreement AKTA. Salary: 2553.28 euros/month, plus any additional pay based on previous experience. Required checks: a valid criminal background check and evidence regarding health screening for communicable diseases. Number of positions: 1. Trial period: 4 months. Full-time.
