We are seeking a social guidance worker for a permanent position in the southwestern area of Lapland Welfare Area. The social guidance worker’s workstation is in Tornio, but work may also take place in other municipalities within the southwestern service region. The job includes planned client guidance and counseling and interactive participation, life management and social functioning support. Client work is carried out as a social welfare act processes. Plans and decisions are based on social welfare, income support and rehabilitation act foundations and on the multi-disciplinary cooperation model for employment promotion. Work is done in the client’s networks and in everyday and operational environments. Weekly teams and supervisor support back the work. WHAT YOU WILL FIND WITH US? The eligibility criterion for the position is the right to practice the profession of social welfare worker, gerontologist or rehabilitation counselor as a licensed professional. The employment terms follow the SOTE agreement. The position has a 6‑month trial period. We follow the vaccination protection required by the Work and Communicable Diseases Act.
