JEDU - Koulutuskeskus JEDU seeks an interior construction vocational teacher to teach professional subjects in practical and theory lessons for the period from 7 September 2026 to 19 December 2027. Your task is to teach interior construction together with regional construction industry companies. You will be an active part of a teaching team that develops a new model of interior construction education in workplaces together with the industry and project staff. The position may include project work. Your base location is Pyhäntä, but teaching may occur at other campuses of the municipal federation as well. Applicants who are formally eligible under the Act on teaching staff qualifications are preferred; if such personnel are not available, non-qualified persons may be appointed. We require: a university degree in the field; experience from interior production tasks such as tiling and wallpapering; knowledge of the region’s business life; experience in teaching and guiding in working life; ability to meet diverse learners; good and positive interpersonal skills and a motivating and developmental work attitude; cooperation skills; basic IT skills and knowledge of interior construction design software; driving licence and access to a car if needed. We consider favourable: experience in teaching and in-work learning processes; knowledge of machines used in interior construction woodworking (planers, etc.). Salary and terms of service follow the municipal teaching staff collective agreement. Working hours are the annual hours for the professional teaching section C. The selected candidate must provide a health certificate and a criminal background check as required by law before taking up the post. The probation period is six months. Interviews will take place on 27–28 August 2026.
