Designer

The role involves providing expert-level design work for interior and systems configurations on luxury cruise ships, including furniture layout, installation planning and routing for services such as electrical, water, ventilation and cooling. You will start with smaller sub-systems and progress to broader space planning as you gain experience. The designer may contribute to or develop bill of materials for the solutions and will typically use design libraries. Software tools used include MicroStation (2D), Inventor (3D) and Vault (PDM). A clear career path exists toward lead designer, product development, project operations, and eventually concept design for sales/client interface. Requirements include relevant engineering education (engineer or master’s level in mechanical design or related field), good Finnish and English language skills, and some willingness to travel. You should be able to work independently, be systematic and proactive, with strong teamwork abilities.
