We are looking for a part-time early childhood education assistant for Pilke Daycare Sointu in Kouvola. The role suits you if you want to use your skills, develop and ideate, and leave your personal mark for a good day for children and colleagues. Start date is as soon as a suitable person is found. Pilke-daycare Sointu is located in Tornionmäki, Kouvola, near the city centre. We provide quality early childhood education and pre-school for 0–6-year-olds in a safe and comfortable environment. We treat each child as an individual—gently and respectfully. We build everyday life where play, learning and well-being go hand in hand. The duties of a childcare assistant include supporting the individual child as well as the group’s activities. The assistant supports children’s participation and independence. The assistant works together with the rest of the group staff and assists in implementation of activities. We expect a positive and proactive attitude, good interaction skills and a genuine ability to connect with children. In Pilke-daycare centers tasks are distributed among adults working with children so that everyone has time to focus on their own work and do it as well as possible. The successful applicant will be required to present a criminal record extract as per the Finnish Criminal Records Act 6.2 §.
