We are recruiting for HUS Diagnostics Centre, FyGePre subunit, to appoint an Industry Director responsible for the subunit’s operations and finances, including development and coordination of its specialist fields across the HUS region. The role also encompasses services provided to primary health care. The FyGePre subunit comprises four areas: clinical neurophysiology, clinical physiology and isotope medicine, genetics and clinical pharmacology, and preanalytics (phlebotomy), employing around 1100 professionals. The successful candidate will lead the subunit’s activities and finances, and drive development of the associated specialties throughout the HUS area. We seek a determined, collaborative leader with proven experience in managing subunits within a field, financial governance, and organizational development; change leadership, strong negotiation skills, and an innovative approach to transforming operations are essential. Customer-centric operations and experience in account management are valued. Security clearance may be requested with authority defined by applicable law. The surface supervisor is the head of the Diagnostics Centre’s results area. Start date 1 October 2026 or by agreement; applications by 28 August 2026. The role requires a medical specialist qualification and leadership experience in the field, plus licensed physician status or the right to perform physician duties. Finnish language proficiency at a good level and Swedish at a satisfactory level (spoken and written) or vice versa is required. Vaccination against infectious diseases is required for patient/clinical settings, and a health screen for tuberculosis is required for health care sites. Requirements
- Specialist physician qualification and experience in leadership roles within the field, and licensed physician or authorization to practice as a physician
- Finnish language proficiency at a good level and Swedish proficiency at a satisfactory level (spoken and written) or Swedish good spoken and written and Finnish satisfactory spoken and written
- Vaccination against infectious diseases for customer/patient care settings and health status assessment for tuberculosis in healthcare units
