Finnair Technical Operations are looking for a Fleet Transitions Program Manager to join our Technical Fleet Transitions team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the technical execution of aircraft phase-in, phase-out, and entry-into-service programs. You will ensure all technical activities are completed in line with regulatory, contractual, schedule, and quality requirements while coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve predictable and efficient aircraft transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute assigned fleet transition programs ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
  • Coordinate all technical activities related to aircraft transitions including maintenance status, configuration, modifications, and documentation
  • Ensure aircraft technical condition and records meet regulatory, contractual, Finnair, and lessor requirements at delivery/redelivery
  • Act as the primary technical point of coordination between engineering, records, planning, MROs, lessors, and other stakeholders
  • Identify, track, and manage technical, documentation, and schedule risks with appropriate escalation
  • Coordinate and oversee external MROs, consultants, and suppliers supporting transition activities
  • Provide clear and structured reporting on program progress, risks, and milestones
  • Support technical leasing discussions and delivery/redelivery conditions
  • Drive continuous improvement of transition processes, tools, and documentation standards
  • Optimize resource allocation across engineering, planning, and technical operations
  • Manage multiple aircraft transitions in parallel with fixed delivery timelines
  • Ensure completeness and quality of technical records under time pressure
  • Align multiple stakeholders with differing priorities and interpretations
  • Manage late-emerging technical findings impacting schedule and cost
  • Operate within lease, regulatory, and operational constraints

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft engineering, continuing airworthiness, or technical operations
  • Experience in aircraft deliveries, returns, or entry-into-service programs
  • Strong understanding of aircraft technical records and maintenance documentation
  • Experience working in a regulated aviation environment (EASA/FAA)
  • Experience with lessors and leasing environment is an advantage
  • Project/program management experience
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capability
