Implementation Consultant / Technical Consultant (Application Security) Join a global leader in the application security space Black Duck is a rapidly growing organization recognized as a leader in application security. We are seeking a skilled Technical Consultant to join our Services team in Japan and play a key role in helping customers implement and maximize the value of our solutions. About the Role In this position, you will work closely with customers to successfully implement Black Duck solutions and support their adoption. You will act as both a technical expert and trusted advisor, guiding customers to achieve their security, quality, and compliance goals. Key Responsibilities Solution Design Engage with customers to understand business requirements and design solutions addressing application security, quality, and compliance needs Implementation Delivery Lead end-to-end project delivery, from planning through execution and completion Integration Development Support integration of Black Duck solutions into customer SDLC and DevOps environments Customer Advisory Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing best practices in software security and testing Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with internal account teams to ensure visibility into project progress and customer success Account Growth Support Identify opportunities to expand solution adoption within existing customer environments Secure Development Enablement Advise customers on improving secure development processes and operational efficiency Required Qualifications Ability to communicate smoothly and effectively with customers in Japanese Experience in software development (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, or similar) Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Perl Knowledge of application security concepts and vulnerabilities Experience working in collaborative, customer-facing environments Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering technical consulting, professional services for companies and organizations in Japan. Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CSSLP) Experience with SaaS and on-premise deployments Knowledge of security testing and network protocols Proven success in customer engagement and relationship building Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus) Additional Information Ability to travel (up to approximately 40%, as required) Experience working with global or distributed teams is highly valued Why Join Black Duck You will have the opportunity to work with leading global organizations, contribute to cutting-edge application security initiatives, and be part of a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering customer success.
