Papuvet is expanding to Jyväskylä and is looking for veterinarians and a lead veterinarian! Would you like to join a company that values professional expertise and listens to its clients? Papuvet will open a new clinic in central Jyväskylä in February 2027. The new clinic specialises in acute patients and also offers a wide range of appointment-based services, from general veterinary practice to dental care. Clients are served during extended opening hours: weekdays and Saturdays from 9:00 to 21:00 and Sundays from 9:00 to 18:00. We are looking for veterinarians for different roles in the Jyväskylä team, as well as a lead veterinarian for the clinic. Veterinarians (Emergency, appointments or a combination) We are seeking veterinarians to strengthen the new Jyväskylä team. You can shape your role to suit you: Emergency and acute patients: Work in a fast-paced and interesting acute-care practice. Appointments: Focus on general veterinary care and/or dental care. A varied combination: Combine emergency shifts and scheduled patient appointments according to your preferences. What we offer: Top-level earnings: Papuvet’s veterinarians are among Finland’s highest earners. Veterinarians’ earnings range from €30 to €140 per hour, depending on skills, experience and the type of work (appointments, emergency work or specialist practice). A separate management agreement will be negotiated for the lead veterinarian role. Flexible working arrangements: You can work as a traditional salaried employee or under a contract through your own company. It is also possible to take occasional shifts alongside other work. New premises and equipment: You will start at a completely new city-centre clinic opening in February 2027. It will be equipped with new imaging equipment, an in-house laboratory, a high-quality operating theatre and dental equipment. Staff preferences regarding equipment will be heard. Flexibility: You can influence your own working hours within our opening hours (Monday–Saturday 9:00–21:00, Sunday 9:00–18:00). Training: We will agree further training with each veterinarian according to their interests. What we expect from you: A veterinary qualification with a licence to practise in Finland. Finnish language proficiency at level 4 (CEFR B2). An interest in acute medicine, dental care or general practice. For the lead veterinarian role: enthusiasm for people management and operational development, and a strong clinical background. Excellent customer-service attitude and teamwork skills.
