We are seeking a permanent Early Childhood Education Teacher to join Havukallio Daycare from 1 September 2026. Havukallio Daycare is located in a nature-rich, forested residential area with good transport links. The environment emphasizes nature as part of children's learning and makes use of the surrounding environment. Multiculturalism enriches our daily life with diverse perspectives and cultures. The daycare has five groups and has recently renovated spaces, enabling work in updated group rooms. We will work together with other staff to build functional and inspiring learning environments. Our approach is to meet each child warmly, support their individual strengths, and encourage and praise. Play, participation, language development and emotional and social skills are central to our pedagogy. We want children to learn, try, and succeed in a safe atmosphere. Pedagogical support for groups is provided by a wide-ranging special education teacher and a developer teacher. The unit also uses the ProVaka method (Positive Learning in a Group). You will work with a skilled team, receive support through collaboration, and have opportunities to mentor and guide future professionals. We expect you to be sensitive, warm, and capable of collaborating; flexibility, development-mindedness, and a desire to build high-quality pedagogy with the team are valued. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is required. If you are a cooperative, open and development-oriented early childhood professional who wants to work for the benefit of children with a skilled team, you may be our new colleague. Applications are reviewed as they come in, and the position may be filled before the deadline when a suitable candidate is found. Why choose Vantaa? Vantaa is a bold and relaxed employer offering an open working atmosphere and opportunities to try new ways of working. You will be supported by a broad, multi-professional network.
