Specialist Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated specialist supervisor to join Humana’s youth protection unit at Nuotta in Vantaa. The role involves working in Koho unit in three shifts, with a focus on evenings, mornings and weekends. You will work with a skilled team including practical nurses, youth and activity instructors, nurses, social workers and community educators. The unit provides rehabilitative foster care for adolescents with behavioral and psychiatric needs. You will perform individual-guidance work supporting and encouraging children and youths in everyday challenges, participate in rehabilitation work and in evaluating their care and upbringing, in close cooperation with guardians, the wider network, school administration and social authorities. Salary starts at 2495.24–3016.00 €/month depending on previous relevant experience, with additional allowances for shift work and a unit-specialist supplement of 151.50 €/month. You must hold a Bachelor of Social Services (AMK) degree in social work and be prepared to present a criminal background check for working with children. Experience from working with children and youths, especially in child protection units, is valued. The most important is a client-centered approach, ability to meet each child as an individual, good interaction skills and flexibility in changing situations.
