Site Supervisor

Reila Palvelut Oy is recruiting a site supervisor for a new assignment at Oulun Satama. We are seeking a customer-service oriented, development-minded and leadership-capable site supervisor for the new engagement in Oulu Port. You will work in a responsible environment where safety, vigilance and expertise are central. The start date is 01.01.2027. As a site supervisor you will participate in daily guarding tasks and act as the frontline supervisor for guards at the sites. What kind of site supervisor are we looking for? We are looking for a security professional who is also a good-humored customer service professional. As site supervisor you are responsible for your own sites' personnel, i.e., you are the boss of your site. You maintain order in everyday activities, and customer satisfaction is your pride. In your role you are more than a traditional supervisor: you are the energizer, mentor and open-minded innovator of your team. We hope you have a training supporting the role (e.g., VAT / TVEAT / TUES / LEAT). Prior experience especially in harbor area helps you start quickly in the new environment. You are ready to take on challenging tasks and seek solutions. You have a valid security guard card, a safety card and a fire protection or initial extinguishing certificate and substantial experience in the field. The assignments are located in the port environment, where guarding services play a significant role in maintaining safety. Your duties include mooring and unmooring services for ships, port area guarding and access control, making security observations and reporting, VHF radio communications and supporting port operations, and maintaining a safe and smooth port environment. What we offer? A full-time permanent employment. The pay level will be determined according to the security industry collective agreement level V, depending on previous experience. We hope the chosen person can start work by 01.01.2027. Success in the job requires strong organizational skills, practical situational awareness and a customer service and leadership mindset. Desirable: VHF radio operator license (SRC, coastal radio certificate or equivalent); water rescue training (Meriturva or equivalent); valid occupational safety card; valid fire extinguishing or hot-work certificate; harbor area experience; knowledge of maritime operations or port services; marine VHF radio proficiency; experience with vessel mooring/unmooring; at least 12 months of vessel services experience or at least 40 mooring/unmooring operations.
