We are committed to doing our share in solving the climate challenge by determinedly following our science-based pathway to decarbonize our operations. We find meaning in our purpose: With our heart in Finland, we make every journey better, today and tomorrow. Our values – Always Safe, Customer at Heart and Stronger Together – guide us in everything we do. We are now looking for a LEAD, ORDER MANAGEMENT & TRANSFORMATION to lead a team of revenue accounting business process owners. The team is responsible for order management, order accounting transformation, and the strategic and functional development of revenue accounting processes and solutions across all passenger sales channels. In this role, you will contribute to Finnair’s transformation towards modern, order-based retailing. You will have a direct impact on how airline revenue accounting evolves in a rapidly changing industry and work closely with key stakeholders across business and technology. You will also secure alignment with Finnair’s strategy by evaluating and implementing new capabilities that ensure high-quality, timely revenue accounting processes and operational excellence. In this role, you will: Take ownership of the commercial order (accounting) transformation roadmap and ensure execution in alignment with commercial objectives. Monitor and influence industry standards (e.g. IATA ONE Order) to align with Finnair’s retailing strategy. Drive the transition from traditional ticket/EMD processes to order-based business models, with a focus on revenue accounting. Lead and facilitate cross-functional transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment, stakeholder buy-in, and resourcing. Take overall responsibility for a large work stream in a major project or own a smaller project (e.g. Order accounting transformation). Work closely with operational Revenue Accounting teams to ensure sub-domain development and operational continuity during transformation. Drive organizational readiness for order-based business processes through structured change management and stakeholder engagement. Drive understanding of the implications and requirements of order accounting transformation, and ensure these are considered in developments across other business areas and processes. From you, we wish: Minimum 10 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 5 years in aviation industry within sales, distribution, revenue management, or finance area. Strong understanding of airline selling processes, including direct and indirect distribution models, is expected. Experience with emerging technologies is an advantage. Strong understanding of reservation processes, passenger revenue accounting processes and/or airline pricing. Commercial and opportunity-driven mindset. Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills. Proven ability to lead and facilitate work of mid- to large-scale transformation projects and/or cross-functional working groups and forums. Good skills in managing change as well as internal and external stakeholders. Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver clear messages and provide actionable insight to diverse audiences. Comfortable working in a domain with many unknowns. Master’s degree from a relevant field. In leading Order Management transformation, you will need strong facilitation, project management and communication skills and the ability to navigate between the big picture and details. Working At Finnair: We offer you an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-changing aviation and international travel industry in a culture that drives and enables professional development and continuous improvement.
