Your role with us
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about electronics, server hardware and practical technical work. You may be at the beginning of your career or, for example, studying electrical engineering, electronics or information technology and keen to apply your skills in practice.
In our customer projects, you will work with critical information systems. Your duties include designing, procuring and installing server hardware, as well as electrical, data communications and enclosure work on customer systems. The work may also involve small-scale 3D modelling and printing, documentation, and basic Linux server maintenance. Depending on your skills and interests, the role may develop over time into more demanding server and infrastructure work. You will not be working alone: our skilled hardware professionals will support you and help you learn.
The position is part-time, with 15–37.5 working hours per week. Hours are agreed flexibly according to project needs and your circumstances, with a minimum of 15 hours per week. The work can therefore fit well alongside studies.
The employment is fixed-term from January 2027 to August 2027. Any continuation after the fixed term will be agreed separately.
What we expect from you
We do not expect you to know everything already; you will also have the opportunity to learn in this role. We do hope you have an interest in and basic knowledge of the following:
Suitable technical education (for example, a Master of Science in Technology or engineering degree), or ongoing studies in electrical engineering, electronics or information technology
Basics of electronics and electrical engineering, and an interest in practical installation and design work
Basic familiarity with computers, server hardware and their components
Interest in data communications, cabling and connections between devices
A careful and organised approach to work, and readiness to document your work
Initiative, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
Genuine interest in and hobbies involving electronics, information technology or hardware
We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get hands-on, investigate matters independently and find solutions even when there are no ready-made instructions.
Experience and skills in the following will be an advantage:
Assembling, installing and maintaining server hardware
Linux operating systems and their basic use
Computer networks and network equipment
3D modelling and 3D printing
Electronics design, enclosures and prototype construction
Experience purchasing technical components and equipment or working with suppliers
We also value personal projects and hobbies. If you have built electronics projects, assembled servers, or designed and 3D-printed your own parts, we would love to hear about them.
Please note that your upcoming project requires regular onsite work at our office in the GO21 building in Tampere. Our current projects also require professional-level fluency in Finnish. Employment is conditional on passing an authority security clearance and/or a drug test.
We offer you work where meaning is part of everyday life
In our projects, you will help build national security and society’s most important digital solutions. We can promise that your work will feel meaningful every day. By joining our team, you will also have the opportunity to help build a new success story. We are in a very interesting growth phase, and you will have a real chance to make an impact. We also offer:
Competitive pay, determined by whether the role is an internship or a Junior Hardware Engineer position. Pay for an intern is €14–18 per hour, depending on the stage of studies, experience and skills. Pay for a Junior Hardware Engineer is €19–23 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
Comprehensive and varied employee benefits, including sports and culture benefit and lunch benefit
A friendly and motivated work culture where support is available and you can influence the journey of a growing company
