Field Operator

NG Nordic is a leading Nordic provider of circular economy solutions and environmental services. We convert waste into valuable raw materials and remove hazardous substances from cycles, helping to reduce emissions, protect ecosystems and enable access to circular-economy raw materials. As a Field Operator you will be responsible for the daily operation of the water treatment systems at the Vaasa site. Your duties include monitoring the water treatment process, operating pumps, valves and measuring instruments, and recording key data such as pH, flow rates and other measurements to ensure safe and reliable system operation. You will ensure chemical supplies, participate in practical fault-finding and report deviations or development needs. The work is mainly outdoor field work, with quieter days focused on system supervision and documentation, and in varying situations you will apply problem-solving skills. You work mostly independently but are not alone; you will be supported by NG Nordic experts and receive thorough onboarding before the site starts. The job is typically day work at 37.5 hours per week, and the site operates around the clock, so flexibility for occasional incidents is valued. We offer a long-term nationwide project with clear impact on site operation and environmental decisions, a versatile mix of field work, process monitoring and practical problem solving, with a path to gain valuable experience in environmental technology and water treatment. You will receive comprehensive onboarding and ongoing support from NG Nordic experts during the project. The employment is with Biisoni and is initially valid until 31 December 2027, with potential extension as the project progresses. The collective agreement for chemical industry white-collar workers applies. The salary for the role, depending on experience, is approximately €2,500–€3,000 per month.
