About the role

We are looking for a nurse for outpatient care at the Hankasalmi health center for a fixed-term employment contract until October 4, 2026. The nurse's duties include assessing the need for care and service guidance over the phone and at the service point, caring for observation and emergency patients, and assisting in procedures. A dedicated nurse and doctor model will be launched at the health center in the autumn. If you serve as a dedicated nurse, you will also be responsible for the non-urgent care of the population in your area. This includes the treatment of chronic and common diseases, check-ups, and guidance. The work also involves assessing the need for care via phone and chat services. This is a daytime position. You will work in a multidisciplinary team where cooperation and collegial support are central parts of everyday life. You will have the support of a skilled work community and supervisor, and you will be carefully inducted into the role. In your work, you will be able to utilize your expertise versatilely and participate in the development of operations. Position-specific salary €2,965.58/month. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay work experience increments of 3% for 5 years and 8% for 10 years. Please also note the good public sector employment terms, for example, regarding vacation days. The accumulation of vacation days is determined by your work experience - the more experience, the more earned vacation days. The eligibility requirement is the qualification required by the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994), a licensed nurse. Considered an advantage: - experience in independent reception work, especially in the treatment of chronic diseases and health check-ups in outpatient care - experience in assessing the need for care over the phone The position requires up-to-date medication management expertise according to the medication plan or its completion at the start of employment. Additionally, we require suitability according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (chickenpox and measles). The employer determines the need for influenza and pertussis vaccinations. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the social and health care employment and official contract (SOTE agreement). A probationary period applies to the employment relationship.
