The employer seeks a nurse for general care in the Sote-keskus psychiatric and addiction services in Kouvola on a fixed-term contract. The position starts as soon as possible and lasts until 31 December 2026. The team in Kouvola consists of 15 miepä-nurses, a team leader and a teaching nurse. You will perform independent, versatile intake work with mental health and substance abuse patients. You will collaborate with GPs and nurses in primary health care and with adult social services and other networks. You are responsible for assessing patient care needs, planning and executing care. You act as an expert in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating patient-family/authority networks, and, if needed, working alongside a nurse on home visits. You utilize digital care pathways. Patients are adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Treatments are generally short. The team consists of experienced professionals and we maintain and share expertise. Our working style is a short-therapy approach. You are eligible if you have a nursing degree and professional licensure in the Finnish Centre for Rортification and Social and Health Care Professionals.
