Pilke’s aim is to be the best in Finland’s early childhood sector, achieved by working together. We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Assistant for Pilke Luontopäiväkoti Otava in Lahti Kytölä. The role suits you if you want to use your skills, develop and ideate new ideas, and leave your personal mark for a good day to begin for children and colleagues. Starts 1 Sept 2026 or by agreement. Otava opened in 2019 in a log building and offers high-quality child-centered early education for 0–6-year-olds, including a provision corresponding to pre-school in municipal day care. Otava focuses on nature: we aim to grow children to respect and love nature and its phenomena, with forest adventures and exploration. Our staff are present and close to children and parents; we ensure children feel seen and heard in play and learning moments. Activities include singing, theatre, crafts, painting, and relaxation, with a warm, sensitive, and professional community. Our goal is to make every day a good day for children, with a supportive and constructive work environment, and a proactive approach to trying new things. You will be asked to provide a criminal record extract as required by law.
