Early years teacher

The position of a preschool teacher is a permanent role in Hyrynsalmi’s early childhood education. The role suits you if you want to utilize your skills, develop and ideate new things, and leave your own personal mark for a good day to children and colleagues. As a preschool teacher you are responsible for the planning, implementation, assessment and development of your group’s pedagogy in cooperation with other educational staff. We value an enthusiastic and developmental approach, multidisciplinary collaboration, and good teamwork and workplace skills. We appreciate good interaction skills, mastery of early childhood pedagogy, and especially skills related to addressing each child individually. In addition, we value expertise in activities and methods related to emotions and interaction, as well as knowledge of small-group pedagogy as a working method. The required qualification for the position is the qualification for a preschool teacher according to the preschool education act (540/2018) sections 26 or transitional provisions 27. The position is subject to a six-month probation period. The selected candidate must present a medical certificate of fitness and a background check for working with children within 30 days from the start of employment, as per law 504/2002. Employment terms follow the Municipal Education Personnel collective agreement (OVTES). In addition to base salary, pedagogical shift-daycare allowance of 185.00 €/month is paid.
