About the role

Motivated early childhood teacher wanted! Join Painiittyn day care, where your work is valued by both supervisors and children's guardians. The position is in a group of children under 3 years, with Sari (teacher) and Johanna (caregiver) as colleagues. Thanks to a large working community, Painiittyn teachers enjoy strong collegial support, including pedagogical teams meeting three times a month. Painiitty Early Childhood Education Unit consists of two adjacent buildings (built in 2015 and 2019). We are located in Pohjois-Leppävaara, near the border of Helsinki and Vantaa. Painiittiin is accessible by public transport: a direct bus from Painiityn tie to Leppävaara station and onward to Vantaa and Ring Road 1; from Konala walking distance to the daycare. Workplace name and address: Painiityn päiväkoti, Painiityntie 21. 02680 Espoo Working hours: 38 h 15 min/week The position is permanent, fixed-term until 31.12.2026. Qualification requirement: Varhaiskasvatuslains (540/2018) eligibility. At least degree in education including early childhood teacher training, or social and health care bachelor's degree (early childhood education) or an equivalent vocational degree, e.g. kindergarten teacher or social educator (Law 272/2005 and Decree 608/2005). Newly graduating early childhood teachers are considered. We require good teamwork skills and a sensitive approach. The successful candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by law. Tuberculosis risk screening is required by law for people working with pre-school children. We value previous experience with under-3s.
