We are looking for an HR IT Project Manager with a main responsibility in planning and delivering strategic HR technology projects across Wärtsilä’s global HR landscape. The preferred location for this position is Helsinki, Finland, but also other Wärtsilä locations in Finland are negotiable. We offer a possibility to hybrid work. Your role and responsibilities As an HR IT Project Manager, you will lead HR technology projects from planning through implementation and transfer to support. Your journey at Wärtsilä will begin with the Time and Payroll programme, where you will take a key role as the Time Project Manager within the Tech Workstream. You will work closely with technical experts, global programme management, HR stakeholders, Wärtsilä IT teams and external vendors. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to agreed business outcomes. You will also support change management, user adoption and the successful transition of new solutions into business operations. Your work will focus on these responsibilities: - Lead the Time and Payroll Tech Workstream in collaboration with the service manager, technical experts and global programme management. - Lead HR technology projects from initiation through deployment and hypercare. - Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues and dependencies. - Coordinate solution design, testing, deployment and transition into operations. - Collaborate with HR stakeholders, Wärtsilä IT teams, business units and external vendors. - Prepare project plans, status reports, steering committee materials, business cases and project gate reviews. - Ensure compliance with project governance, cybersecurity, data privacy and enterprise architecture requirements. - Support change management, communication, training and user adoption activities. To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have: - A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Human Resources, Project Management or an equivalent field. - At least 8 years of experience leading IT projects, mostly in the HR area. - Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects across multiple countries and stakeholder groups. - Experience in project management related to time management, payroll and integrations. - Experience working with HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM or similar solutions. - Strong project governance, planning, financial management and reporting skills. - Experience handling compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity-related topics. - Experience managing external vendors and delivery partners. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluent written and spoken English.
