Project Manager, Substation and Transmission Line Projects We are looking for a project manager for our construction management business to lead electricity network substation projects in a planned and results-oriented manner. You will play a key role in delivering electricity network investments and ensuring that projects are completed safely, to a high standard, on schedule and within their cost targets. The work of the substations and transmission line projects team, which is part of the construction management business, consists of contractor procurement for high-voltage network substation and transmission line projects, supervision of design and construction work, and project management. We deliver extensive projects together with substation and transmission line construction companies and design and consulting partners. Our work enables increased electricity network capacity, connects customers to energy infrastructure and supports the transition towards a cleaner, increasingly electrified society. Your responsibilities You will manage your assigned substation projects comprehensively, from project preparation through design, procurement and construction to commissioning and project closeout. The projects include new construction, extensions and renovation projects. You will guide project design, prepare delivery and ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with contracts. You will direct and supervise design, construction and consulting partners and ensure smooth cooperation with contractors. You will ensure that schedule, cost, quality and safety targets are met and report on project progress. You will act as the project safety coordinator and manage project risks, changes and deviations. You will also help develop project operations, shared practices and the delivery capability for substation projects. In addition to relevant education or experience gained in the field, you should have a good understanding of safety and customer focus, which are at the heart of everything we do. The work location can be one of Elenia’s existing offices in Tampere, Seinäjoki, Jyväskylä or Kempele. What we expect from you: A suitable higher-education degree, for example in electrical or construction engineering. Alternatively, you may be an electrical or construction professional whose expertise is based on broad experience gained through work on projects in the electrical or construction sector. Experience in substation, electricity network or other demanding infrastructure projects, and in their project management, construction management or delivery. Understanding of design and construction processes, site operations and contractor cooperation. The ability to manage project schedules, costs, risks, quality and changes. A strong safety mindset and readiness to take on client-side responsibility roles in projects. The ability and motivation to develop your professional expertise.
