We are looking for two social workers for family social work in fixed-term official positions starting September 1, 2026. The work is primarily located at the Tikkurila site, but the task can also be performed flexibly in Kerava and Myyrmäki. Additionally, we offer the possibility of remote work, as agreed and according to the nature of the work. The task of a social worker in family social work is to implement planned social work and arrange services for children in need of special support. As a social worker, you act as the child's responsible worker and are responsible for the coordination and harmonization of support measures according to the child's needs. The work includes independent work, network work, pair work with the team's special social guides and social guides, as well as close cooperation with service providers. The work is mobile in nature and meetings often take place as home visits or meetings also at the sites of cooperation partners. Our work is supported by good structures, a systemic approach, work supervision, a present leading social worker, and of course, competent colleagues. The team has a family therapist at its disposal. Urgent child protection emergency work is centralized to the official child protection emergency service. We require experience in social work with families with children, good interaction and cooperation skills, and a positive attitude towards development. We expect you to operate naturally as part of a team and actively participate in joint work. Knowledge of the Apotti system and training in a systemic approach are considered an advantage. The work involves a lot of documentation, so good written skills are important. In family social work, there are two regional teams employing a total of 2 social guides, 7 special social guides, and 17 social workers, as well as 2 leading social workers. In the child family social work area, in addition to family social work, there are regional service need assessment teams. In total, about 70 employees work in the functional area.
