In your role as an External Supply Manager, you would ensure product availability, cost competitiveness and supply chain resilience within your assigned supplier portfolio. You would lead supplier relationship management in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and drive end-to-end supply chain efficiency, transparency and performance. Your contribution would support strong service level, cost competitiveness, inventory performance and successful launches. The role includes both operational and managerial responsibilities related to supplier relationships, supply chain development and product portfolio competitiveness. You would report to the Head of External Supply Operations, Generics & Biosimilars. The position is permanent and based in Espoo or Turku, Finland. The role also requires occasional international travel, but your work will mainly take place at the office or remotely, with a hybrid work possibility.

Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with assigned suppliers in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure product availability, cost competitiveness and profitability of your product and supplier portfolio.
- Monitor supplier performance, follow up agreed actions, and manage supplier- and supply chain-related risks.
- Support new business opportunities, tenders and on-time launches by providing supply chain input on feasibility, cost impact and timelines.
- Manage contract lifecycles and support contract compliance within the assigned supplier portfolio.
- Drive supply chain development, continuous improvement and sustainability-related supplier actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as business, sales, quality, product lifecycle management, regulatory affairs and packaging technology.
Requirements
- An applicable university degree, for example in business, pharmaceuticals or engineering
- Skills and experience in supply chain activities, supplier relationship management, strategic procurement or another relevant field
- Business-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent collaboration, leadership and networking skills
- Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English and Finnish
