Do you feel inspired by development work that benefits people and communities? A regional, mid-Finland educational collaboration project (Hankasalmi, Joutsa, Kangasniemi and Toivakka) is seeking a qualified and motivated project coordinator for a fixed term (1 Oct 2026 – 31 Jul 2028) to implement development cooperation funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The project aims to strengthen inter-municipal cooperation in early childhood and basic education, develop joint operating models, promote pedagogical solutions for remote and online teaching, and support strategic development for education providers. Key duties include overall project coordination and implementation; building and developing collaboration between municipalities’ civics and education services; preparing and coordinating steering and working group activities; coordinating regional curriculum work; developing remote and online teaching operating models; supporting adoption of pedagogical and digital solutions; organizing trainings, workshops and network meetings; managing communications, monitoring, and financial administration; cooperating with education organizers, principals, teachers and other stakeholders. Regular travel within partner municipalities is required. Qualifications: a higher university degree applicable to the role. We especially value strong experience in pre-school and basic education, experience in education development projects, knowledge of curriculum work and education organization, experience with online and distance pedagogy, excellent ICT and digital pedagogical skills, ability to lead and coordinate cross-organizational processes, good networking and collaboration skills, proactiveness, flexibility, and a solution-oriented approach, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
