A permanent position for a registered nurse is available on Ward 5, Palliative and End-of-Life Care at Katriinan hospital. The ward is a 16-bed unit focusing on holistic, respectful, and individualized care for patients in the end of life. The unit also acts as a support unit for home hospital care. We seek an open, collaborative, patient‑centred nurse who thrives in changing situations and wants to contribute to developing high‑quality palliative care. You will join a multidisciplinary team to influence the ward’s continuous improvement. Requirements include a nursing degree and valid license to practice; strong patient‑centred approach; good communication skills and ability to face challenging life situations; interest in palliative care; experience in palliative/end‑of‑life care is advantageous. We offer thorough onboarding, support from a skilled team, opportunities to develop expertise in palliative care, a respectful and calm work environment, and access to training and development. We operate in pairs to ensure colleague support, weekly continuing education, and flexible scheduling; we also support further studies. We provide a cooperative, community‑minded work environment with structured shift planning and group supervision. Typical work schedule is three shifts with a rotation. The pay rate is 3249.63 EUR per month, with possible additional pay based on prior experience; terms follow the SOTE collective agreement.
