We are now looking for a practical nurse for permanent and fixed-term employment from 1.9.2026 to 31.8.2026. Welcome to Rinnekodit Rusokallio! Rusokallio is a residential unit opened in January 2025, providing 24-hour service housing for adults with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and people on the autism spectrum. The unit is located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, in a quiet and green area and consists of two 12-place group homes. Activities are based on individual support for clients, strengthening participation and respecting the right to self-determination. A multidisciplinary team – practical nurses, registered nurses and social workers – is present around the clock to enable a safe, meaningful and personalized everyday life for the clients. Task and its goals: As a practical nurse, you are in a key role in identifying the individual needs of clients and ensuring high-quality care. You work with a professional approach, respecting the client's right to self-determination and meeting them appreciatively. Your work includes basic care, medication and guidance. You also support clients physically in daily activities. We offer good orientation and various trainings to ensure smooth work. We expect from you: - a practical nurse's degree and Suosikki registration from the License and Supervision Authority - a social and health care professional card (Kanta certificate card) OR willingness to acquire the card during the probation period - willingness to demonstrate medication competence by completing a medication permit within four months of starting employment and regularly during employment - willingness to work in three-shift work - basic Finnish language skills needed for documentation and meeting clients - vaccine protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. We check the criminal record extract of the selected person in accordance with the law (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care) before concluding the employment contract. The criminal record extract must not be older than six months.
