Join us in developing the City of Pori’s Youth Unit. We are seeking a permanent Unit Head who is goal-oriented and detail-oriented, capable of identifying development opportunities, building collaboration, and directing operations decisively toward shared objectives. The role involves ensuring our vision translates into meaningful results. The Unit Head will lead the City of Pori’s youth work, which includes expert services, Guidance Centre, youth services, and targeted youth work, enabling youth well-being, participation, and the broad examination of everyday phenomena, while developing services and data-driven leadership as a cohesive whole. A key focus is strengthening service impact, collaboration structures, and smooth youth service pathways in cooperation with the city, the third sector, the Satakunta wellbeing region, and universities. The city’s strategy states that Pori is a city for children and youth, and as Unit Head you will have a significant role in realising that goal. We require a suitable higher university degree and experience in welfare work, plus evidence of successful implementation of development projects at various scales. The candidate should be able to analyse information from different sources and advance the data-driven management system. Strategic thinking, adaptability to changing situations, decision-making, and strong collaboration with stakeholders are essential.
