At the Helsinki Painter Vocational School (Maalariammattikoulun kannatusyhdistys ry), the assistant principal serves as the supervisor for teachers, leads and plans pedagogy and educational work, and administers annual training services. They are responsible for the quality of teaching activities and ensure compliance with rules and guidelines. Key tasks include developing teaching in collaboration with the faculty, monitoring and influencing the quality of education, and personnel administration. Helsinki Painter Vocational School is looking for a person committed to supporting high-quality teaching, building community, and developing leadership. The assistant principal will help promote sustainable future vocational education. The selected person should be ready to be hands-on and participate in various activities for the benefit of the school and students. The assistant principal may also have teaching duties, assigned according to the applicant's qualifications. Our future assistant principal understands learning and diversity and has a strong understanding of the laws and decrees governing vocational education and personnel administration. The position requires principal qualifications in accordance with the decree on the qualification requirements for teaching staff, as well as teacher qualifications for the relevant form of education. Candidates will be invited for interviews by the end of August. Interviews begin in week 36 (September 1–4). The selection process may involve several rounds and aptitude testing.
