The job posting is for a bilingual (Finnish and English) early childhood education specialist teacher at Y.E.S. Daycare, attached to Vantaa City, Education and Learning, Early Childhood Education. The daycare operates as part of the Vantaa International School and has up to 154 children. The teacher will assess children's support needs, plan and implement support, and evaluate support in collaboration with other staff. The role includes developing an inclusive culture in the unit together with the day-care director. Main duties include guiding planning and evaluation processes for support and targeting support appropriately, with emphasis on pedagogical expertise and close cooperation with various stakeholders. The position involves collaboration with staff, the daycare director, and other participants in child and family services. Requirements include strong expertise in special education, a joyful and encouraging team player attitude, ability to recognize each child's individuality, willingness to learn and develop, and strong written and oral Finnish skills. A criminal background check is required. The job site is in Vantaa; relocation grant of 1500 EUR is offered for moves from outside the local area after a six-month probationary period, for permanent jobs in early childhood education roles.
