Phantom is used by millions of people to access crypto applications and financial services. We’re looking for a Release Management Engineer to own and continuously improve the release process for our iOS and Android applications. You will work closely with engineering, QA, product, and support teams to make releases predictable, efficient, and safe. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands mobile build and deployment systems and enjoys coordinating complex releases across teams. This role is remote; however, we’re only open to candidates working in US time zones. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end release process for Phantom’s iOS and Android applications. Manage release schedules, release branches, versioning, build promotion, and app store submissions. Coordinate release readiness across engineering, QA, product, and other stakeholders. Lead go/no-go decisions and ensure risks, blockers, and outstanding issues are clearly communicated. Manage TestFlight, App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and staged or phased rollouts. Coordinate hotfixes, emergency releases, and release rollback plans when needed. Monitor release health, including crashes, regressions, rollout status, and user-impacting issues. Troubleshoot build, signing, submission, and deployment failures. Improve and automate repetitive release tasks using tools such as GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Bash, or Python. Maintain clear release documentation, checklists, runbooks, and status reporting. Ensure releases comply with Apple and Google policies and submission requirements. Partner with engineering teams to improve the reliability and reproducibility of mobile builds. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in release engineering, mobile DevOps, build engineering, or a similar role. Hands-on experience releasing production iOS and Android applications. Strong knowledge of App Store Connect, TestFlight, Google Play Console, mobile signing, provisioning, and certificates. Experience working with mobile CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI, Buildkite, or similar tools. Experience managing release branches, versioning, hotfixes, and staged rollouts. Ability to troubleshoot mobile build and deployment issues. Familiarity with scripting or automation Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills. Ability to remain calm and make clear decisions during time-sensitive releases or incidents. Nice to Have Experience with React Native applications. Experience with Fastlane or other mobile release automation tools. Experience supporting a high-scale consumer mobile application. Familiarity with mobile QA, automated testing, crash monitoring, or release observability.
