Laboratory Nurse

The Diagnostic Center of HUS is Finland’s leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our primary operating area is the specialized care within the HUS network and the primary care services of the welfare areas belonging to HUS. We also handle laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia welfare areas. We operate in eight medical specialties and nationally in several specialized studies as well as research and education for the university hospital. Diagnostic investigations play a central role in confirming diseases, excluding conditions, as part of treatment and in monitoring and screening. About 3400 laboratory and imaging professionals work at the Diagnostic Center in over 150 locations. Our unit opens a permanent position for a laboratory nurse. We are looking for a professional who is eager about varied patient work and teamwork. Our multi-professional team consists of over 50 professionals and we operate in several sites around the Meilahti hospital area, in both outpatient and hospital settings. You will have meaningful work ensuring high-quality patient care and strengthening the team with your expertise. Our goal is to provide high-quality sampling services and excellent patient experience every day. Your role includes a variety of laboratory nurse duties, such as: blood, effluent and gynecological sample collection; performing glucose tolerance tests and ECG recordings; sample handling and dispatch; external diagnostics; collaboration with care units; patient guidance and counseling; daily and other user support. The job-specific salary for the laboratory nurse is 3024.27 euros per month and possible experience allowances. Start date 1 October 2026 or as agreed.
