Technical Building Manager

Hitachi Energy Finland Oy seeks a Technical Building Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of our new production and technology centre in Mustasaari Vikby, Vaasa. The centre, part of Hitachi Energy Park and a next‑generation transformer factory under construction, will double transformer production and testing capacity in Finland and will include modern office and testing facilities for electrical, automation and software development professionals. The role is responsible for technical building operations, development and daily maintenance; implementing energy efficiency improvements; participating in budgeting and financial tracking for properties; coordinating construction works and modernization projects; planning and monitoring maintenance schedules and technical measures; processing invoices and ensuring proper accounting; preparing investment decision materials and calculations; promoting energy and development initiatives; ensuring compliance with laws, authorities and internal guidelines; contributing to environmental certification work and updating operating systems. We expect a background in building technology, energy, HVAC, electrical engineering or a related field, 5–10 years of practical experience in the management/operation of commercial properties (office, industrial or public), experience with tenant-driven renovations and renovations budgeting through to handover; experience with budgeting, forecasts and KPI monitoring (energy, operating costs, maintenance) and contract management; fluent Finnish and English (oral and written) and a category B driving licence.
