Governing Board Member

The position entails leadership of the Bank of Finland's operations, international cooperation in the field, and work as a colleague within the governing board. The legal qualification requirement is a relevant higher university degree and a solid familiarity with monetary policy or financial operations, as well as demonstrated leadership ability and leadership experience. Emphasis is placed on knowledge of financial markets and banking activities. The appointee is expected to have independent decision-making ability, the capacity to work with external stakeholders outside the Bank of Finland, and the ability to lead an expert organisation with strong international and domestic collaboration skills. The term of office is five years, starting 1 February 2027. The appointment requires a confidentiality declaration and a non-compete agreement as per law.
