We are looking for skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Oulu, Finland. In this role, you will play a key part in designing the mechanical solutions for our new electromechanical products. You will collaborate closely with electronics and software development, as well as with project and product management, sourcing, and production teams. The position may also be offered at a senior level for candidates with extensive experience. What you’ll do: Mechanical design and verification activities in R&D projects. Work in all the product development phases – from early prototyping to the production ready solutions. Ensure that the design meets technical requirements, standards and regulations. Ensure that the solution is manufacturable and cost optimized. Produce and maintain technical documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement of products, working methods, tools and quality practices together with the team. What you’ll bring: Relevant technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.). Few years of experience in mechanical design. Proficiency in CAD SWs. Experience in product data management system(s). Knowledge about different manufacturing technologies: Machining, MIM, Injection molding etc. Experience with mechanics design verification / testing activities. Experience with product development processes. Technical documentation skills. Hands-on prototyping skills are considered an advantage. Knowing locking industry standards and regulations is considered an advantage. Good communication and collaboration skills. Fluency in English both written and oral.
