Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse

We are looking for a committed and motivated practical nurse and registered nurse to join our work community in elderly housing services at Wellbeing Center Sauvola. The work is performed in three shifts, and you can start as agreed. We provide 24-hour long-term residential care for 34 residents in the bright and spacious facilities of the Wellbeing Center. Our house is divided into three small homes across two floors. As a practical nurse, your duties include caring for residents' daily needs, hygiene, and medication management. You will also serve as a primary nurse for assigned clients. As a primary nurse, your work includes creating and implementing care and service plans in cooperation with the resident and their relatives, as well as RAI functional capacity assessments. We expect skills in individual interaction with residents and experience in dementia care. Most important is a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly people and a rehabilitative way of working. Proficiency in the Life care system is considered an advantage. As a registered nurse, you are responsible for the holistic planning, implementation, and evaluation (RAI) of the client's nursing care, as well as the development of nursing quality. You will act as a nursing expert and coordinator, and guide the nursing work of practical nurses, care assistants, and care workers. In your work, you plan, implement, and evaluate the client's medication therapy in cooperation with a physician and ensure the implementation of treatment orders in the unit. You will work closely in a multidisciplinary team, maintain contact with relatives and other collaborating parties, and monitor and evaluate the resident's well-being holistically. Additionally, you will guide students, orient new employees, and actively maintain your own professional skills by acquiring new knowledge and developing your expertise. The registered nurse's work is primarily daytime work on weekdays from 7:00 to 15:00. We hope for a positive attitude and good teamwork skills. The qualification for the practical nurse is a vocational qualification in social and health care or an equivalent degree. For the registered nurse, we require a nursing degree and licensure. Registration in the central register of social and health care professionals is required. Participation in medication management requires a valid medication permit, which you can update or complete with us immediately at the start of employment. The position-specific salary for a practical nurse is €2,647.17/month and for a registered nurse €2,977.75/month. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay an experience-based supplement ranging from 3% to 8%. The accumulation of vacation days is also determined based on length of service. Those working with the elderly must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.4 of the Criminal Records Act, in accordance with Section 28.1 of the Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care (741/2023), which must be presented before the start of employment. Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The probationary period is six months. Immediate patient and client work requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a respiratory tuberculosis report according to Section 55.
