HIAB Truck Crane Operator for Heavy Construction Lifts, Kemi
Apply now!
We are seeking an experienced HIAB truck crane operator for our client to perform varied lifting work. You will use heavy loader-crane equipment and take part in lifting and positioning entire holiday-home buildings at sites across Finland.
This is a full-time job where you can use your professional crane-operating skills in varied and precision-demanding duties.
Work duties
You will drive a truck equipped with a loader crane. Your main task is to lift large holiday-home buildings and other construction elements and position them at customer sites.
Lifting work takes place across Finland and may occasionally also take place in Sweden. In addition to transport and installation lifts, the work may include other lifting and transport tasks according to our client’s needs.
The work requires good lifting-technology skills, precision and the ability to cooperate with other installation staff. Workdays and sites vary, and on longer work trips you must be prepared to sleep in the vehicle.
The vehicle is based in Kemi, and work assignments generally start there.
What we expect from you
- A valid C driving licence, professional driver qualification and digital tachograph card
- Previous experience using HIAB, Fassi, Palfinger or similar loader cranes
- Good lifting-technology skills and a safe approach to work
- A valid Occupational Safety Card
- Ability to work independently in changing conditions
- Flexibility regarding working hours and work locations, and readiness to sleep in the vehicle when needed
Experience with large loader cranes, installation lifts for buildings or elements, and other demanding lifting work is considered a particular advantage.
An installation crane card is an advantage, but is not a mandatory requirement. If necessary, we can arrange the training required for the card.
We hope you live in Kemi or within about 100 kilometres of it, so that you can conveniently reach the vehicle’s base.
What we offer
We offer varied full-time work where you can use and develop your crane-operating skills in lifting assignments that are out of the ordinary. You will work in the operations of our experienced transport and lifting services client as part of a skilled work community.
The working time is generally 40 hours per week. The employment is initially fixed-term until the end of April 2027, but continuation of the work afterward is possible. The employment follows the Infra sector collective agreement.
The start date will be confirmed as the recruitment process progresses, and it may be possible to start at short notice.
