We are seeking an experienced mechanical designer for ABB Motors and Generators’ Helsinki Mäkkylä unit to a permanent position. The candidate should have solid professional experience and the ability to take responsibility for demanding design tasks. In the role you will work in a team of specialists focused on electrical machines, and participate in customer- and project-specific product and maintenance design projects. You will largely be responsible for designing technical solutions and producing documentation for internal use and external stakeholders. You will also act as a technical expert supporting production and collaborate closely with electrical design, product development, sales and production.

Requirements
- Engineering degree in a suitable field (e.g., mechanical engineering)
- Approximately 5 years of experience in mechanical design in an industrial environment
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, NX or equivalent)
- Interest in technical challenges and willingness to learn
- Self-driven and collaborative work attitude
- Fluent in Finnish and English
