Preschool Teacher

Päiväkoti Topelius is a small nursery in Taka-Töölö with four groups. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled preschool teacher to join our warm community. Our approach to preschool education emphasizes hands-on learning, thematic work, and joint learning, with a child-centered philosophy, joy of learning, and play. The successful candidate will help create an inclusive, compassionate, psychologically safe environment where every child, family member, and staff feels valued. The role includes planning and delivering pedagogical activities, supporting individual learning, and collaborating with a team and supervisor. Our staff share expertise openly and we regularly hike and explore the waterfront area around Töölö. We expect strong teamwork, collaboration, and ability to work autonomously in the context of the Helsinki preschool curriculum. We also require competence in documenting pedagogical activities and delivering high-quality pedagogical practice. The position is full-time. We offer support from the team and a supervisor, and you will work with the head of the unit and a dedicated special education teacher when needed.
