Maintenance Worker

Maintenance worker for Lieksa city’s urban environment service area. Primary duties include street and general area maintenance, construction tasks and road and street greenery work. Maintenance tasks include snow removal with a wheel loader, anti-slip measures, sand/grit removal, verge mowing, maintenance of gravel paths, patching asphalt, cleaning and lawn care. Also tasks such as unloading/loading with forklift tines, loading snow and rock materials, maintenance work by truck, light repair and servicing for equipment, upkeep of traffic areas (painting road markings, installing snow poles, filling asphalt potholes, replacing road signs, thawing culverts), clearing with a brush cutter, repairing and building stormwater systems, repairing curb stones and pavements, and dock equipment repairs in harbour operations. Willingness to work outside normal hours and participate in winter readiness. We expect collaboration, independence and initiative. Eligibility requires sufficient experience in area maintenance and at least BC driving license; Traffic Safety Card and Occupational Safety Card. Additional qualifications include driver’s professional competence, Työturvallisuuskortti and Tieturva 1; experience operating machinery and small equipment maintenance. Salary at start of employment is 2528.18 €/month plus potential trade allowance and performance-based supplement.
