Construction Equipment Technician

If you enjoy working with machines and can do the job calmly and carefully, this position is for you. We are looking for a maintenance technician for asphalt and infrastructure equipment for Konehuolto Kaasalainen Oy in Tuusula. You will work in a small, professional team where calm work pace is valued and everyone takes responsibility for their own work. In this role you will handle a variety of heavy equipment — asphalt machines, payloaders, scrapers, and road construction equipment. Even if the asphalt equipment is new to you, you will receive thorough onboarding. The most important thing is basic technical know-how and a willingness to learn. JOB DUTIES You will work as a technician at Konehuolto Kaasalaisen workshop in Tuusula. You will service and repair asphalt, infra and road construction equipment — some tasks take place at the workshop, some possibly at a customer site in Southern Finland. - Replace hydraulic hoses and fix hydraulic leaks - Replace components and perform practical repair work - Perform preventive maintenance and basic servicing - Replace wear parts as part of machine maintenance - Troubleshoot and solve practical problems independently - Handle repairs according to fault lists during the winter season - Assist with moving machines, trailers or parts when needed The fleet includes asphalt laying equipment, loaders, scrapers, substructure equipment and other heavy infra equipment. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU - Practical experience as a technician — background could be from automotive, trailer, heavy equipment or earthmoving machine repair workshops - Good basic technical understanding and the ability to learn new devices - Ability to work independently after onboarding - Valid B-driver’s license - Finnish language skills (or fluent English and adequate Finnish) The job suits especially someone who enjoys working in a small team, likes technical problem solving and appreciates a calm, thoughtful work style.
