The unit Breikki Helsinki provides opioid substitution treatment and can follow harm-reduction or rehabilitation objectives. The nursing role is within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on medication administration, sharing medication-related information, supporting residents’ functioning and overall wellbeing, guiding residents, and ensuring proper reporting. The organization emphasizes evidence-based practice, fairness, community, participation, and empowerment, while respecting each resident’s dignity. Responsibilities include medication management and psychosocial guidance and support to improve life management and quality of life, aiming to reduce substance-related harm or support recovery and a substance-free lifestyle. A driving license is required for home visits. The position is daytime and includes shifts across all days of the week. Requirements include nursing degree and registration or near completion, social and health care professional card or willingness to obtain it during probation, ability to demonstrate medication competency, basic Finnish language for documentation and client interaction, vaccination against infectious diseases per law, interest in working with people with substance use issues, a collaborative approach, and a driving license. Rinnekodit is smoke-free and substance-free. A police background check is required in accordance with law before employment.
