Water Utility Installation Technician

Water Utility Installation Technician Come work with us; we always need more great people! We are now seeking a Water Utility Installation Technician for Joensuu Water for a permanent position. The duties include installation, repair and maintenance of the water supply network, ordered work on property service connections, and replacing and installing water meters. Applicants must have suitable basic technical education (for example, a vocational qualification in HVAC or construction, or other suitable equivalent installer training) and/or suitable work experience in similar tasks. Experience in water supply network installation and maintenance is an advantage. Adequate IT skills and good interpersonal and teamwork skills are also desirable, as is at least a BE and C driving licence. Any additions to the driving licence categories must be completed at the employee’s own expense during the probationary period. The selected person will have the opportunity to supplement their skills by participating in apprenticeship training for a vocational qualification in the water services sector. The position requires good spoken and written Finnish. Working hours are 38.25 hours per week, on weekdays in a single shift. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the collective agreement for municipal technical personnel. The position-specific salary is €2,494.88 per month (pay group 1 C). In addition, a professional-field supplement of 4% or 8% of the position-specific salary may be paid depending on the person’s work experience, as well as a personal supplement for meritorious performance. Original education and employment certificates must be presented at the time of selection. The position can be taken up on 7 December 2026 or by agreement. A six-month probationary period applies.
