We are looking for a Compliance Operations Specialist to join our Compliance & Data Protection team, supporting Hempel’s global operations. You will work closely with colleagues across geographies, functions, and cultures, contributing to the daily execution and continuous improvement of Hempel’s Compliance Program. Your Role and Key Responsibilities As Compliance Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the reliable and high‑quality execution of core compliance processes, helping ensure that Hempel’s standards are consistently applied across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with roll out of Compliance training courses, primarily online learning programs Supporting compliance assessments of business partners (e.g. distributors and third parties) Handling and reviewing sanctions screening alerts in line with internal procedures Providing general operational and administrative support to the Compliance & Data Protection team Maintaining and updating cases in the Whistleblowing system Taking minutes during investigation meetings and ensuring secure and confidential record management Handling sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and integrity What Success Looks Like in This Role Compliance processes are delivered accurately, on time, and consistently Stakeholders trust you as a reliable and professional compliance partner Data, reports, and systems are well-maintained and audit‑ready You proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality You take ownership while working effectively as part of a global team Key Success Criteria You are: Diligent, precise, detail‑oriented, and dependable Highly trustworthy with a strong sense of confidentiality Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities across compliance areas Comfortable working with data, documentation, and reporting A strong written and spoken English communicator A confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Motivated by structure, responsibility, and contributing to a larger purpose Required Education, Experience & Skills No single specific field of study required; backgrounds in law, business, finance, economics, or international studies are relevant 3–4 years of experience in an international company, preferably in a regional or global role Strong operational and administrative skills are essential Solid experience with Microsoft Office tools Experience with compliance systems, IT tools, or AI solutions to improve workflow efficiency is an advantage Basic understanding of corporate compliance programs is preferred What We Offer At Hempel, we offer a professional, international environment with strong values and a long‑term perspective.
