This position reports to: CoE-L Nordics Manager __ Your Role and Responsibilities We are now looking for a new Trade and Logistics Specialist to join our team in ABB Motion Center Of Expertise -Logistics (CoE-L) organization in Vaasa. In this role, you will oversee transportation and trade flows, driving process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, ensure compliance, and meet operational requirements. The work model for this role is hybrid, #Li-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Coordinating with logistics service providers (LSPs) to place transportation orders, provide customs-related instructions, and monitor key shipment milestones. Ensuring the timely and accurate exchange of import and export transaction data with customs brokers and other relevant stakeholders. Monitoring LSP performance and service levels to meet business requirements and customer expectations. Calculating transportation lead times and costs, including analyzing and justifying cost deviations and overruns. Applying various planning methodologies and effectively utilizing transport management systems (TMS) to support operational efficiency. Preparing transport-related documentation and managing customer invoicing activities accurately and efficiently. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of transportation, customs processes, trade regulations, and compliance requirements. Generating and delivering transportation cost, performance, and operational reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement. Driving continuous process improvement through a proactive and development-oriented mindset. Qualifications for the Role BSc. or MSc. level degree from a relevant field, such as industrial management or commercial Extensive experience with SAP, GTS, TMS platforms, MS Office Knowledge and practical experience (> 2 years) of working trade and logistics rules and regulations Previous experience in transport management or freight forwarding Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken A team player attitude with good communication and collaboration skills.
