Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, professional health care assistant for a pediatric home care assignment in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The role involves somatic nursing duties for a critically ill child, including medication administration, PEG feeding, stoma care, and participation in the child’s daily life through play, caregiving and other activities. You will provide high‑quality care to a single client, with an emphasis on a calm, unhurried approach. Shifts are planned at the same client in three different blocks, and can be arranged flexibly according to your preferences. We prefer applicants who can commit to regular agency work for an extended period. Requirements include a willingness to work with children, a compassionate attitude towards seriously ill children, reliability, and a commitment to evidence-based nursing. The job requires a qualified practical nurse (lähihoitaja) degree, experience in disability care, pediatric care, medication administration, and fluent Finnish.
