Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking two (2) health care assistants for Alajärvi home care on permanent contracts. As a home care assistant your workday consists of versatile tasks, in addition to basic care for example wound care, medication administration, and evaluating functional capacity. Each client has individual needs, and home care responds according to an agreed plan in rehabilitative approach in cooperation with other providers and relatives. The aim is to support the client's functional ability and life management at home and in daily life, enabling home living as long as possible. The job requires independent work style, good organizational skills, and flexibility. Additionally, due to the mobile nature, a driver's license and the use of own car are required. We also have home care cars for work. We offer independent, interesting and varied work, with good orientation and orientation days if needed. The job is two-shift on weekdays and weekends. In selection we emphasize fit to the role and to the team. The eligibility requirement is social and health care basic degree, licensed practical nurse (as per regulation). Registration in Valvira social and health care professionals register, and valid drug licenses. Drug licenses can be obtained at the start. Terms and salary are determined according to SOTE agreement. Task-specific salary is 2767.43 €/month. Probation period. A criminal background check as per law. May require drug test.
